Description
The SEDC D series engine is known for its high reliability, excellent fuel economy, and fast transient load response. It is a domestically proven engine with advanced designs and a leading technical index. We offer 8.3 and 8.8L engine models, with a power ranging from 230 to 375Ps. This series engine has been the preferred power for tractors, trucks and other special vehicles.

The D series truck engine was jointly designed with the Austrian company AVL, and is designed to adapt to Chinese oil product and user application habits. By cooperating with the American SwRI (Southwest Research Institution) in 2005, we were able to develop this engine's reinforced design and four valve upgrade that complies with North American heavy duty diesel engine standards. This product also satisfies China IV and V emission standards, making it a popular choice for over 20 years, with more than 1 million sets sold.

Technical advantages and features Customer value
Fuel system Using a third generation electronic control system from Japan Denso, the maximum injection pressure is 1800bar. The DLC coated nozzle on the Denso patented technology can reduce nozzle corrosion and wear. Multiple injections can be achieved in sequential working conditions in order to ensure uniform atomization and full combustion, meeting Chinese IV and V emission standards. . Fuel consumption reduced by 10-15%, and the life span is long.
Gas system It uses single point injection gas supply methods with two control strategies: lean burning and mixed burning (lean burning + equivalent burning). Controller (ECU), sensor, electronic throttle, sparking coil, spark plug and other key components are all from internationally known brands. This satisfies China V emission standards. This system is advanced and reliable.
Aspiration With optional 2-valve and 4-valve products, optimized combustion chamber and swirl ratio airway, the turbocharger is selected based on various working conditions, power and torque requirements. This achieves a higher air intake efficiency and improves the combustion efficiency. With a high power density and fast transient load response, its maximum torque reserve is up to 40%. With a low fuel consumption, the operating cost is low. The transient load response is fast, with strong power and good adaptability to working conditions.
Design features By cooperating with AVL and SwRI, this product meets North American heavy-duty diesel engine standards. With designs that include a high strength cylinder head and engine block, 4-valve structure and 180bar peak pressure, all the parts are designed as 295kW. Using an integrated design, the parts are 20% less than the regular diesel engines. It has a simple structure and a smaller size compared with the same power engine.
The 217Ps in-cylinder brake power is supplied to meet better assistant braking functions.
This product has good reliability and high uptime. The entire engine features a flexible arrangement. With large power in-cylinder brake, the driving safety is high.
Reliability Designed as a 295kW heavy-duty diesel engine, it has a high reliability margin. It uses advanced machining and assembly lines and MES system control. By referencing the SPS system guarantee from Volkswagen manufacturing standards, the engine has a better consistency. Using advanced and reliable international first-class accessories, this engine has been selling well for over 10 years as the preferred power for commercial vehicles. This engine is proven, mainstream, reliable and reassuring.
Matching adaptability With an optional displacement of 8.3L or 8.8L, 2-valve or 4-valve and engine of diesel or natural gas, the power ranges from 105kW to 275kW. Electronically controlled common rail and natural gas systems are developed and produced on the same platform. The electronic controlled engine supports GPS, cruising and other functions. The cold starting temperature is -15℃ without auxiliary air intake heating devices. According to the assembly configuration and actual operating condition, the engine and assembly are carried out matching optimization and customization. Flywheel, flywheel house, engine, air compressor, steering pump and other peripheral parts are provided with a variety of configurations. PT0 and oil pan are offered with various structures and styles. The matching range is wide and the environment adaptability is excellent. The power property and economy are among the best.
