Application
VSGXJ series powder surface modificatio and coating machine can be applied to the surface of fine powder from 325 category to 6000 category to improve their property, such as precipitated calcium carbonate, ground calcium carbonate, lithopone, titanium pigment, sericite, fly ash, zinc oxide, ultrafine barium sulfate, precipitated barium sulfate, talcum powder, quartz sand, mica powder, aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, brucite, calcined kaolin and washed kaolin.

The modifier is especially applicable to the surface modification of ultrafine powder. It can compound modify not only more than two kinds of additives, but also more than two kinds of powder. It can also be combined with dry grinding mill and wet grinding mill to form a production line which integrates grinding and modifying.

Product characteristics
1. VSGXJ series powder activation modifying and coating machine can operate continuously. It can deal with a large amount of powder at the same time. The production speed can be as high as 2 to 8 tons/hour.
2. The activation modifier is applicable to all kinds of fine powder. It consumes only a small amount of additives. The dosage of additives per ton of powder is about 5% to 10%.
3. We adopt the high speed air solid vortex type operation mode which mixes cold powder and hot additives. It features high modifying efficiency and causes little damage to the original shape of the powder. The cover rate can be more than 95%. The activation effect is satisfying.
4. The equipment has strong thrashing and depolymerization effect on ultrafine powder. The powder wouldn't unite or become coarse again after being modified. It has especially strong effect on material which has small gravimetric density and large visual ratio such as barium sulfate, silica, mica powder and talcum powder.
5. The production efficiency of the equipment is quite high and the unit energy consumption is low. The least power consumption every ton of powder is lower than 35 Kwh.
6. The grinding mill is equipped with heating, heat preservation and cooling equipment. It doesn't need auxiliary heating and cooling system. The operation is quite easy and it lowers cost.
7. The modifying temperature can be adjusted easily in a certain range according to production demands. It can vary between 120~140℃.
8. The all system operates under negative air pressure. It features good sealing. There wouldn't be any powder leakage and it causes no pollution.

Working principle
The equipment is capable of completing the tasks of activation and modifying processing of the surface of the powder material. The dry powder material and the surface modifying additives which has been accurately weighed by the temperature controlled dosing system would be sent to the main body of the grinding mill by the screw conveying system. If solid modifying additives is used, the modifying additives would be heated and melted to liquid in the temperature controlled dosing system.

The main body is composed of three triangular distributed modifying tube shaped components. The modifying body is constituted of main arbor, percussion hammer and rotor blade. The surface modifying additives and powder material enters the first modifying body automatically and continuously. When they pass by the modifying bodies, they would experience gas shocks from all directions. The rotors rotating with high speed cause vortex two phase flow which makes the material and modifying additives scatter evenly in the specially designed modifying body.

With the heat produced by the striking, cutting and friction of rotors rotating with high speed and powder material, the temperature of the powder and modifying additives would rise quickly in the modifying body until the required temperature. They can also be mixed fully. The modifying additives would react with the surface of the powder granule quickly and evenly. It covers around the powder granule and conducts the modifying processing.

Finally, the finished product would be cooled and collected by the cyclone material collecting system at the rear of the grinding mill.
