Description

The SDEC E series engine features an outstanding safety, reliability, acceleration performance and strong power. Compared to similar products available on the market, it has a large torque at low speeds and low fuel consumption, with two optional engine models of 10.4L and 11.8L. Its applicable power ranges from 290 to 480Ps, satisfying Chinese IV and V emission standards. . This engine is the ideal choice of power for large, high-end and environmental-friendly coaches.

The E series engine was jointly designed by SDEC and the Austrian company AVL by referencing international commercial vehicle engine models and current advanced engine design concepts from around the world. It is a brand new power platform designed for meeting requirements for a high reliability, high efficiency and low fuel consumption for commercial vehicles, following SAIC MOTOR manufacturing standards.

E Series Technical advantages and features Customer value
Fuel system Adopting Denso electronically controlled common rail system, the injection pressure is 1800bar. With multiple injection, uniform atomization and reasonable distribution, it burns more fully. This engine meets China IV and China V emission levels. The oil consumption is over 10% lower than the similar products.
Gas system Using a WOODWARD advanced and reliable OH2.0 electronically controlled gas system and lean burning technology, the air-fuel ratio is precisely controlled for a low fuel consumption, thus, meeting China V emission levels. This system is proven and reliable with an excellent economy.
Aspiration method The our-valves per cylinder, parallel airway design and high-efficiency exhaust turbocharger and intercooler are all matched based on different working conditions, and can achieve a higher air intake efficiency to burn more efficiently. The torque at 800rpm is 1600N.m and the maximum torque is 2200N.m, with a fast transient load response at low speed. With a low oil consumption, the power is strong.
Design features Using the Benz DD13 as a prototype, it was jointly designed with the Austrian company AVL, with a peak pressure of 190bar. It uses an overhead camshaft, Bedplate high strength cylinder block, rear gear chamber structure, and noise and vibration reduction designs. With a self-regulating variable displacement engine oil pump and integral oil cooling and filtering module, the oil is double filtered to give it a longer service life. The design is reliable. With a low vibration, the noise is reduced by 3 dB to ensure user comfort. The operation cost is low.
Reliability features Using automatic production lines created by MAG and other international first-class brands, it is controlled by an MES system. Referring to the SPS system guarantee from German Volkswagen manufacturing standards, the product has better consistency. Developed using the GPDP product research and development process, over 20000 hours of platform reliability and durability tests have been conducted, with more than 1.5 million km special test and verifications completed during the research and development stage. This engine has an excellent quality with little to no downtime.
Matching adaptability With an optional displacement of 10.4L and 11.8L and optional engine of diesel and natural gas, the continuously serving power covers 213-353kW. Without an auxiliary air intake heating device, the cold starting temperature is -15℃. Based on the assembly configuration and actual operating condition, the engine and assembly are performed matching optimization and customization needs. This engine has various optional configurations like an independent air conditioning compressor drive, various fan drives, engines in different specifications, single cylinder or dual-cylinder compressor pump, in-cylinder brake or exhaust valve assistant brake, a variety of flywheels and various oil refueling positions. The fuel has various choices and the power has a wide coverage. This product features an outstanding environmental adaptability. It can meet diverse requirements and user customization requests.
Maintenance The engine oil draining interval is up to 80000 km, without valve clearance adjustment within 8000-100000km. Using a cracking connecting rod, the accessibility for maintenance is easy with less quick wearing parts. The maintenance cost is reduced with very little downtime. It is convenient to repair and maintain.
