The hybrid bike sharing system features electric bicycles equipped with a sensor motor, battery, and charging device. When riding the electric bicycle, the sensor will monitor the strength and speed to adjust the motor and provide driving power to assist the rider and help minimize strain on the legs, making riding relaxing and efficient. Hybrid bikes allow riders to move faster than common bikes, making them suitable for city riding.

The hardware of the hybrid bike sharing system consists of an electric bicycle, charging bike docking post and intelligent management box. The hardware is compatible with customer software systems to form a fully functional hybrid bike-sharing system.

Under the basket of the electric bicycle, a device is deployed and connected to positive and negative poles of the battery, insert the device into the charging bike docking post for quick charging. The battery is installed in a tube under the bike rack, unexposed, which effectively prevents wind, rain, ultraviolet and stealing, increasing the battery’s lifespan.

  • Features: the electric bicycle runs in pedal-assist mode and electric mode.
    1. Pedal-assist mode: a speed sensor is equipped to start the motor when riding speed reaches a threshold to assist the rider, so that if the rider reduces manual output, the bike can still run at the same speed. Assisting motor output is adjusted according to rider’s manual output, which also affect the bike’s maximum range.
    2. Electric mode: the electric bicycle is entirely powered by motor, no need for manual cycling. There are 3 gears which is adjustable, maximum speed of the first gear is 10km/h; the second gear is 15km/h, and the third gear is 25km/h. The max range per charge is 120km in electric mode.

2: Charging bike docking post

The charging bike docking post applies stainless steel material, processed with a standard automobile baking finish and is able to stay unstained for 5 years in outdoor conditions. The post is able to bear impacts up to 9800N, meaning it is extremely sturdy and durable. A quick charge device is built inside the charging bike docking post, which is suitable for fast charging. The device is unexposed, making it safe and theftproof.

  • Lock controlling unit: system with double locks docking station; patented system with rotated gear lock docking station.
  • Working temperature: -40℃~90℃, working humidity: 93%RH, suitable for extremely cold weather.
  • Lock is able to lock the bike safely when power is off.
  • No exposed standard parts, no exposed screws, theftproof design (keyhole unexposed).
  • The charging bike docking post is rainproof, dustproof, operates normally in outdoor conditions; waterproof, bike docking post and electronic parts stay undamaged in 50cm-deep water.
  • Proximity switch is equipped inside docking station to prevent bikes from getting stolen.

The hybrid bike sharing system’s service system is similar to that of common bike sharing systems, therefore has the same functions.
