Description of the Medium Scale Fiber Laser Cutting Machine
The medium scale fiber laser cutting machine is primarily made up of four
parts: German IPG’s fiber
laser, optical transmission system, computer control system and numerically
controlled machine tool.
1. Fiber laser
The fiber laser uses
integrated structure, without optical pollution or power coupling loss. With
compact structure and water cooling, the fiber laser has high efficiency and
reliability.
a. High beam quality. Using Yb-doped
double-clad fiber as the laser medium, the fiber laser comes with a long
resonant cavity and offers high beam quality (M2<1.1).
b. Long service life. The medium scale fiber laser cutting machine utilizes the
laser diode as the pump source which, with use time up to 100,000 hours, has
the average working time 200 times that of a traditional lamp-pumped solid
state laser.
c. Small size, wide application. Due to great
flexibleness of optical fiber, the fiber laser has small volume and compact
structure. With flexible transmission, the laser and laser head can be located
separately at different places flexibly.
2. Optical transmission system
The optical system uses a
high precision 1064nm laser light gathering system.
As for laser adjusting, a red laser collimation system is adopted to indicate
the position of the optical axis. The pilot light is coaxial with the laser
light, which enables the function of sensing and indicating, and prompt and
accurate alignment. (optional)
3. Computer control system
The control system uses PCI bus interface.
The special cutting software, with WINDOWS interface,
is compatible with a variety of drawing software such as CORELDRAW, AUTOCAD and
more. It enables single, double, intersecting and irregular line cutting.
Together with a revolving table, it is also able to accomplish workpiece circle cutting.
With powerful functions, the software can run under WINDOWS XP. Standard
industrial control board is utilized for data transmission of the laser and the
automatic worktable, allowing high cutting speed.
The operating
software provides a user-friendly WINDOWS interface that is highly customizable
to meet users’ individual application needs. The interface supports multiple
languages, allowing easy localization.
4. Numerically controlled machine tool
The planer type machine tool
employs imported high precision screw and guide for transmission, an original
Japan Panasonic servo system, and a planetary type differential reducer,
guaranteeing high precision, high speed operation.
