Windrower

Windrower, also known as swather, is a walking tractor,power tiller implements used for cutting hay or small grain crops and placing the cut material into rows. It may be self propelled via an internal combustion engine, or may be drawn by a tractor and powered by a power take-off shaft. The windrower uses a sickle bar to cut the stems of the crop, and all stems are oriented in the same direction. The curing time for grain crops is greatly reduced by cutting the plant stems.
