1. General layout design
The windbreak and dust suppression net can be installed all around the
storage yard, or just in the strongest upwind direction. Green Technology has
also three-side system available. The system will be designed according to size and
shape of the yard, local wind direction, wind frequency and other weather
conditions.
The best distance between the windbreak and dust suppression wall and the stock
pile has to be equal to two or three times its height (stock pile). For the
storage yard composed of multiple piles, the windbreak wall can be placed based on
local conditions. Generally speaking, it can be installed along the edge of the
stock pile.
During actual construction, we should not only consider natural conditions, but
also keep in mind the field conditions. The on-site investigation mainly
includes the survey of constructions, mechanical equipment, underground pipelines,
roads and other facilities in the yard. Only by doing the deep investigation on
the field conditions can we ensure that the construction of our
windbreak and dust suppression net will not affect the normal operation of the
storage yard and function of its auxiliary facilities.
2. Height design
The height of the windbreak and dust suppression net mainly depends on stacking height, generally 1.1 to 1.5 times the height of the stock pile. When determining the height, we should also take into account the yard size to make sure that the stack materials can be well protected within the scope of effective shelter.
3. Steel structure design
The steel structure design
mainly includes the overall structure design, steel bar sizing and selection,
connection scheme, support bar and frame design, as well as the steel
temperature joint design.
When designing the steel structure of the windbreak and dust suppression net,
we should calculate equivalent static wind pressure and make a static analysis
of the stress and displacement. For the large-scale yard, coming with a length
of more than one kilometer and a height of more than ten meters, we have to
further study the dynamic load, resistance coefficient, vibration and other
security issues.
4. Foundation design
When doing the foundation design of windbreak and dust suppression net, we should determine the structure type and cross-section dimensions. In addition, it also includes the design of reinforcement bar and deformation joint.
