WeldingNeck Flange

A welding neck flange isa type of industrial flange designed to transfer stress to the pipe to reducehigh stress concentrations at the base of the flange. Compared with othertypes, welding neck flanges are known for their tapered hub and gentletransition from flange thickness to pipe wall thickness.

Applications

As the welding neck flange isdeformation-resistant, it is normally used for high pressure and high or lowtemperature conditions.
