Application
The Schmidthammer is used to determine the instantaneous elasticity distorts and recoilsdistance. It uses a spring to drive the test hammer and drive the concretesurface through drawbar and make the test hammer drive dial rebound andindicate the recoil distance. It treats the rebound value (the rate of rebounddistance and the distance between test hammer and drawbar before impacting, indicate as percentage) as one relative indexesof the concrete compressive strength.
The Schmidt hammer is also used to determine the compressive strength forconcrete.
