A rotary kiln is a commonly used typeof building equipment. It can be divided into cement kiln, metallurgy andchemical kiln, and lime kiln according to the processed materials.

A cement kiln is mainly used in calcining cementclinker, and it can be classified into wet method and dry method rotary kilns.

Metallurgy and chemical kilns are mainly used for magnetic roasting of leaniron ore, and oxidizing roasting of chromium ore, nickel ore and iron ore, etc.This rotary kiln can also be applied for producing refractory materials andvarious aluminum materials as well as chemicals.

A lime kiln can be called an active lime kiln, is mainly used for calcining active lime and caustic calcined dolomite in steel plants and ferroalloy plants.
