Types
1. Tubing pup joint is used at the mouth of oil well for adjusting the heightof pipe string.
2. Short casing includes magnetic positioning pup joint and casing pup joint. Themagnetic positioning pup joint is usually used for measuring the depth of oilor gas layer and it undergoes no magnetic treatment. The casing pup joint isshorter than casing of standard length. It is used for adjusting top surface ofpipe string and can be connected with cement casing head.
