Introduction:
These PTFE joint sealants (polytetrafluoroethylene joint sealants), made of virgin PTFE fine powders, are produced by moulding. It can be stretched under high temperature. Moreover, it has the feature of low friction, excellent chemical resistance, good sealing performance, and superior flexibility. The expanded teflon tape has a wide range of service of temperature between -160C and +280C.
Applications:
With special-shaped mouths, expanded PTFE joint sealant is suitable for sealing of reactors, turbine generators or containers.
Installation:
1. It is easier for expanded PTFE joint sealant (polytetrafluoroethylene joint sealants) to install on vertical surfaces, because it is soft, pliable and flexible.
2. These PTFE joint sealants can clean flange, remove scale and other foreign materials.
3 When install it, you can strip off the release paper, push the adhesion surface at the center of flange surface, and stick on there in a ring shape.
4. There is 1to 2cm bolt seat at the edge of it. Fix the flange to the opponent and tighten each bolts uniformly, then it is flattened ribbon-like to 1.5 times width and the over lapped part is closely in contact.
5. Tighten each bolts uniformly.
