NarrowPored Silica Gel (Type A)

Narrow pored silica gel isalso called Type A silica gel. It includes narrow pored granular silica gel andnarrow pored spherical silica gel.

Narrow pored silicagel is transparent or glass-like in appearance. Average pore diameter is2.0-3.0nm. Specific surface area is 650-800 m2/g. Pore Volume is 0.35-0.45ml/g. Specific heatis 0.92KJ/kg.°c , and the thermal conductivity is 0.63KJ/m•hr•°c.

Application
Narrow pored silica gel is mainly used for drying andmoisture proof, may also be used as catalyst carriers,adsorbents, separators and variable-pressure adsorbents, etc. It is widely used to protectinstruments, weaponry, electronic equipment, medicine, foodstuff, textileproducts and other packed material from moisture. It can prevent items frommoisture, mildewing and rusting. Because of its high packing density andeffective moisture absorption under low humidity, it is used for the purificationof air. Also it is often used in ocean shipment to keep goods from the damagecaused by excessive humidity.
