Applications

Biochemistry: Methamidophos is a cholinesterase inhibitor.
Mode of action: It is a systemicinsecticide and acaricide with contact and stomach action. Methamidophos is absorbedby the roots and leaves.
Uses: Methamidophos is used to control chewing and suckinginsects and spider mites on ornamentals, potatoes, pome fruit, stone fruit,citrus fruit, vines, hops, brassicas, beet, cotton, maize, tobacco, and othercrops. It is applied at 0.35-1.2 kg/ha.
