Large CNC Lathe HTC Series
There are light, medium, heavy, and super-heavy versions of this series of large CNC lathe. Maximum swing diameter is from 1000 to 3150 mm, and maximum weight of workpiece held between centers is from 5 to 160 tonnes.
The medium series has either double rectangular "box" type ways, or integral triple guideways. The light series, heavy series and super-heavy series adopt vee-and-flat type of guideway, integral "quad" box-ways and separate quad box-ways respectively. The large CNC lathe HTC series can machine various shaft and disc-type workpieces. It can also turn thread, and circular, arc, cone, inside and outside curved surfaces of rotary parts, and can meet the speed requirements of ferrous and non-ferrous metals for high-speed cutting.
SMTCL large CNC lathe is designed principally for the machining of rotary workpieces with high efficiency, in large batches, and with high accuracy in the fields of ship-building, railway locomotive, aerospace, military, metallurgy, etc.
The rigid configuration of the bed, spindle, and tail-stock greatly enhance the overall rigidity of the machine tool, ensuring stability during heavy cutting.
Primary Parts of Large CNC Lathe
Headstock
Imported high precision bearings, high precision hardened and ground gears, and hydraulic range change mechanism are incorporated into the headstock.
Chuck
Highly reliable 4-jaw chuck with high clamping force is included as standard. Other 3-jaw and 4-jaw chucks are available according to the customer\'s requirements.
Turret
Heavy duty tool turrets are incorporated, with optional name brand horizontally and vertically revolving turrets are available as options.
Operation panel
Internationally recognized CNC systems such as Fanuc or Sinumerik are options which can be specified for familiarity of use, high speed and accuracy.
Servo motor
Original FANUC or SINUMERIK AC servo motor with fast response speed and high reliability.
Tailstock
The tailstock may be supplied as 2-piece or single piece type, with high accuracy bearings. Mechanical, hydraulic, or electric options are available.
Steady rest
A variety of open and closed steady rests is available if required.
Saddle, slide
The saddle and slide are cast with structural ribbing. Western-made ball screws or high precision rack and pinion components are incorporated for high precision.
Bed
The bed is of cast iron with ample ribbing throughout. Separate apron guideway makes for an extremely rigid overall structure of the CNC lathe.
