Green Sand Preparation Equipment

According to the casting plant layout, technicalrequirements and various molding lines, the green sand preparation equipmentlayout varies a lot. Its process flow is composed of used sand recovery, usedsand crushing and screening, used sand cooling, clay and coal powder conveying,new sand conveying and molding sand mixing.

1.Used Sand Recovery
The used sand is collected by a sand hopper after sand shakeout and conveyed tothe next sand screening process by the conveyor. Scrap iron and iron splashingwill be separated by magnetic separating equipment during the process of sandconveying.

2.Used Sand Crushing and Screening
The used sand is conveyed into the sand screeningequipment which can crush and screen the sand lump among the used sand. Theremaining sand lump that cannot be crushed will be screened out. At the sametime, the micro power will be drawn out by induction fan. Finally, thequalified used sand flows down to the next process.

3.Used Sand Cooling
The hot used sand containing micro power will be cooled in the coolingequipment. There are two cooling modes: wind cooling and water cooling. Themicro power is drawn out by an induction fan.

4.Clay and Coal Power Conveying
Clay and coal power will be conveyed to the material hopper above the sandmixer through the pneumatic conveyor and then be added to the sand mixer incertain ratio after the accurate weighing by electric scale.

5.New Sand Conveying
According to different technical requirements, new sand and used sand can bemixed in a predetermined ratio before being conveyed to the material hopper, orthey can be mixed in a certain ratio after they are separately conveyed to thematerial hopper above the sand mixer.
