The slurry pool is just under boring machine, it is a place of sedimentationwhich deposit the mud come out from the hole, the mud will be pump up into thefaucet on the top of Kelly bar after sedimentation. This is a completecirculation while boring.
For your info, there is another mud circulation in reversedirection, called reverse circulation. We have to equip another kind of pumpcalled reverse circulation pump set, to running in reverse direction. Theadvantage of reverse circulation is that this pump can suck the boring hole andsmall rock block etc can be removed from the hole.
