An explosion proof motor is designed for places where explosions may occur due to the existence of explosive substances. It produces no electric spark during operation. According to its explosion proof grade, explosion proof motors are classified into increased safety motors, flameproof motors and non sparking motors.
As a kind of power equipment, explosion proof electric motors can be used to drive pumps, air compressors, axial fans, cutter-loaders, and variety of mining equipment.

General introduction of explosion-proof motors
Our explosion proof motors conform to GB3836.1-2000, Electric Apparatus for Explosive Gas Atmosphere Part 1: General Requirements and GB3836.2-2000, Electric Apparatus for Explosive Gas Atmosphere Part 2: Flame Proof Enclosure "d".
At Wuting Electric Machinery Company, we can produce explosion proof electric motors of dI, dII AT4, and dII BT4. They are applicable for places where explosive and flammable mixtures exist. dII CT4 explosion proof motors are also available, upon request.
Applications of different types of explosion proof electric machines
Class I
dI flame proof electric motors are applicable for operation in places with methane and coal mines endangered by explosive mixtures.
Class II
dII AT4, and dII BT4 explosion proof motors are designed for electric equipment in manufacturing factories, etc.
dII AT4 explosionproof motors are suitable for working in places with explosive mixtures in groups IIA and with temperature classifications of T1, T2, T3, and T4.
dII BT4 flameproof motors are applicable for working in places with explosive mixtures in groups IIA and IIB and with temperature classifications of T1, T2, T3, and T4.
The protection level of our motor enclosure and terminal box are both designed in IP54 level. For other protection levels, please inform us before placing orders.
Note
Our explosion proof motor can also be manufactured in YB-TH damp heat type and YB-W outdoor type, and F1, F2 anti-corrosion type.
