Bevel Plasma Cutter

As compared with traditional CNC plasma cutting equipment, this bevel plasma cutter is additionally equipped with two movement control axes which respectively function to control the rotary motor and the bevel cutting motor.
While simultaneously monitoring the change of the bevel angle and rotating angle during cutting process, this bevel plasma cutting machine can precisely cut out the shape and bevel for steel plates.
Utilizing plasma cutting method, our bevel plasma cutter is able to cut off stainless steel, carbon steel and nonferrous metal plates with thickness from 0.5mm to 160mm, and conduct bevel cutting on steel plates with thickness from 8mm to 40mm.

Configuration of the Bevel Plasma Cutter Control System
The control system of the bevel plasma cutter is composed of a rotation controller, bevel angle controller, cutting torch elevating controller, cutting torch height controller, etc.
1. Rotation controller
The fifth axis, controlled by the computer, functions to control the AC servo motor and thus achieving control on the plasma cutter rotator’s rotational movement. When the servo parameters, transmission box parameters and output gear parameters are determined, the pulse equivalent of the rotator can then be determined. While conducting bevel cutting, the rotation movement of the rotator can be controlled by the G code file.

2. Bevel angle controller
The computer controlled sixth axis controls the AC servo motor to achieve the control on bevel cutting angle. The bevel angle is adjustable, either manually or automatically adjusted via the G code file.

The bevel plasma cutter follows traditional interpolation principle, and it controls the cutting performance via the standard G code file.
