Description
The liquidlimit device contains a brass pan, used to accommodate soil specimens, a basemade from fine vulcanite, an impacting device (a cam used to set the distancebetween the pan and the base at 1 cm),a calculator and a groove handler.
The liquid limit device is used to determine theliquid limit of the soil, to classify the soil, and to provide soil consistencyand plastic index needed in design and construction.
