Air Belt Conveyor

The air belt conveyor is a new type of continuous conveying equipment. It is mainly used for conveying bulk materials such as stone, ore, coal, cement and clay. In addition, the belt conveyor can also be used to transport packaged goods, like bagged cement and grain.

1. Low power consumption
The air belt conveyor replaces roller bearing with air cushion, so it changes rolling friction to flow friction, which greatly reduces traction and running resistance. Hence, air belt conveyor consumes 10~25% less power than roller conveyor.
2. Light weight
As the air box adopts box section, vertical support of the air belt conveyor can withstand greater bending moment and torque. In addition, the belt conveyor has less rollers and belt with less layers and thickness, contributing to light weight. All of this helps improve the overload capacity of the conveyor.
3. Long service life
The belt has small tension, little wear and high tear-resistance. In addition, the air cushion can help cool the belt. As a result, the conveyor belt has an extended life.
4. Low maintenance cost
Because the air belt conveyor uses air cushion instead of roller bearing, it has fewer moving parts, less friction, and high reliability, thus requiring less maintenance and greatly reducing maintenance cost. Practice has proved that the air belt conveyor requires 60~75% less maintenance cost than roller conveyor.
5. Smooth delivery
For roller conveyor, the conveyor belt is wave-like moving, which is easy to cause material spillage, belt deviation and serious wear. However, the air belt conveyor has no such problems. It runs smoothly and is especially suitable for conveying proportionally mixed bulk materials.
6. Start with low power
Unlike roller conveyor that starts with high power (1.5~2.5 times of operating power), air belt conveyor starts with low power which is approximately equal to its operating power.
7. High capacity
The air belt conveyor offer a wide range of speeds, from 0.8m/s to 12m/s. The optimum running speed is 3~4m/s. Hence, the conveyor can quickly complete your material handling tasks.
8. Less pollution
The air belt conveyor can easily achieve full line sealing and is convenient to install protective cover, dust collector, etc., which helps create a clean work environment.
