4. Make sure the power switch of the electric sharpener is turned off before connecting its adapter to the power supply.
5. The electric knife sharpener must be placed on a stable surface when using.

7. Do not attempt to sharpen scissors, axes or any tool that cannot move freely in the sharpening slot.

Sharpening Methods

Put the knife into the left sharpening groove and drag the entire length of the knife blade from the heel to the point at a uniform speed (usually 3-5 seconds for a metal knife, 6-8 seconds for a ceramic knife). Don’t use too much force and sharpen the knife according to the shape of the blade.
Put the knife into the right sharpening groove in the same way (refer to the above pictures).
To ensure the consistency of the blade the knife should be sharpened by turns in left and right sharpening grooves.
We recommend sharpening your knives using the electric diamond knife sharpener once a week or everyday to keep your blade sharp all the time.

Caution
1) Pull the blade backward instead of forward when the knife is in the sharpening groove or the knife blade may be damaged.
2) Ensure constant force and uniform speed.
