The operator sits inside a smallcab attached to the base and controls the arm. Common excavators includehydraulic excavators and mechanical excavators. According to their walkingmode, excavators can be classified into crawler excavators and wheelexcavators. In addition, excavators are available in a wide variety of sizes.The smaller ones are known as mini or compact excavators.
