Maintenance
1. The speedreducer should be supplied with 20# gear oil to the extent that oil pointer canbe seen at 25°chamfer degrees. It must be oiled beforeuse
2. The 7216 fore bearing of the spindleneeds lithium base grease. The lithium base grease should be completely changedwith new oil during any major repair.
3. The lead screw for angle adjustment,screw for adjusting depress device and bearing device, depress device, andslide guidepost should be directly oiled with lithium base grease. They should be checked and re-oiled everyweek.
4. The adjustment of spindlebearings. When the spindle loosens, theoperator should unfold the back cover of the spindle, loosen the lock washerand turn the nut clockwise. Afteradjusting the spindle bearings to the proper position, the operator should lockthe nut with the lock washer.
5. The knife tool should be sharpenedwhenever blunt. Only the fore part ofthe knife can be sharpened and it should be sharpened on surface-grindingmachine. The maxim grinding quantity is 2mm. The grinding quantity each timeshould be within 0.5mm. When the totalgrinding quantity is over 0.5mm, a washer should be filled, in line with thegrinding quantity, between the end faces of knife tool and spindle and placedat the rear end face of the knife tool.
