Applications

Biochemistry: Carbofuran is a cholinesterase inhibitor.
Mode of action: It is systemic, withpredominant contact and stomach action.
Uses: Carbofuran is used for the control of soil-dwelling and foliar-feeding insects (includingwireworms, white grubs, millipedes, symphylids, fruit flies, bean seed flies,root flies, flea beetles, weevils, sciarid flies, aphids, thrips, etc.) andnematodes in vegetables, ornamentals, beet, maize, sorghum, sunflowers, oilseedrape, potatoes, alfalfa, peanuts, soya beans, sugar cane, rice, cotton, coffee,cucurbits, tobacco, lavender, citrus, vines, strawberries, bananas, mushrooms,and other crops.
