Overview
Solar grid-connected power generation is the way of the future. Not only does it generate electricity to loads and contribute to a cleaner, greener environment, it can transmit excess electricity generated into the local power grid. It can help you build your own power plant.

Power inverter is necessary in any PV system. It converts DC current generated from the solar panels into AC current which has frequency, phase and voltage matched to the local power grid. See diagram below:
