Check Valve

The check valve has two-port valves or two openings in its body, one for flowing in and the other for flowing out. There are various types of check valves used in a wide variety of applications. Although they are available in a wide range of sizes and costs, check valves generally are small, simple and inexpensive. Check valves work automatically and most are not hand controlled. The external shell of a check valve is made of plastic or metal and is especially designed for a specific cracking pressure.

The check valve is often used with some types of pumps. Piston-driven and diaphragm pumps, metering pumps and pumps for chromatography commonly use inlet and outlet ball check valves and they are in chemical and power plants and many other industrial processes.
