The tail light or tail lamp is a lighting system that is part of thevehicle, usually mounted at the rear of the vehicle. It usually comes in pairs (left end and rightend of the vehicle). This group oflights on one mounting consists of different lights with different functions.

The park light signals to the drivers behindthe presence of other vehicles at night. The park light is also used during foggy andrainy weather as an early warning to the vehicle in the rear.
