2. Propylene Glycol Powder
Functions
Propylene glycol powder is supplied as 55%, 60% and 65% on silica carrier. It is a dry propylene
glycol (in powder) that supplies the extra energy a cow needs at the end of the
dry period and during the first 100 days of lactation. It is metabolised differently and
therefore transformed into glucose much faster than fat and fatty acids. The fat concentration in the
blood reduces and the liver is spared. The propylene glycol powder gives your
cows a good start and prevents problems after calving.
