Excitation and Regulation
All AMGx synchronous generators have brushless excitation controlled by state-of-the-art automatic voltage regulators. Generators are self-excited, and do not required any external source of excitation power.

Automatic voltage regulator used for AMGx series generators is installed inside the terminal box.

Insulation and impregnation
The insulation system used by ABB for the AMGx range is based on the vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) and dip impregnation method.

110% for 1 hour every 12 hours operation
