AAAC/All Aluminum Alloy Conductor
Description
The light-weight all aluminum alloy conductor has such advantages as high strength, nonexistence of electrochemical corrosion, long service life, sound electricity conductivity, etc. It is used to transmit current and is made through stranding aluminum alloy wires instead of aluminum wires in a spiral manner and according to a certain rule. Its tensile strength is 1.7-1.8 times of that of an ordinary conductor. The rigidity of our AAAC is very high so the surface scratch when putting up transmission lines can be minimized and the construction quality can be greatly improved.
Application
The all aluminum alloy conductor is used for overhead power transmission lines, especially the electric power augmentation of old transmission lines. Tong-Da has been specialized in the research and application of AAAC for almost ten years. Japan respectively used the overhead AAAC for 110kV and 220kV transmission lines with large span length in 1959 and 1962. When replacing the aluminum conductor steel reinforced, our all aluminum alloy conductor can save 5-8% of the construction cost. China currently employs this kind of technology, as well as Tong-Da. This AAAC coversaluminumalloy(hard solution,heat-treated,coldworked,andartificiallyaged)roundwiresforelectricalpurposestobeused ascomponentwiresof aluminum alloy conductor and aluminum alloy conductor steel reinforced.
