Applications

L-Arginine is a natural amino acid that acts a moisturizing agent and a pH adjuster used in cosmetics and skincare products, it is safe and generally won't cause side effects for pregnant women. This basic amino acid is non-comedogenic and helps moisturize dry skin, it can be used together with trehalose and fruit acids that have moisturizing effect to maintain the skin's hydration and resilience while reducing dandruff.
Since it is basic (alkaline), L-Arginine can be used as an alternative to ammonia in hair coloring agents. It can not only prevent pungent odor of ammonia but also improve color retention of dyed hair, without damaging hair.
L-Arginine is a common nutritional supplement used in cosmetics.
